feeling good...
I'm feeling pretty good about my skillsets and stategies for upcoming competitions. Now, I just need to lose the weight to allow myself to move a little faster. I feel that I am fairly quick for a HWT, but I know that I am much faster and flexible when I am about 20 to 30 lbs lighter. I am now anxious to lose the weight...Excited.

Whew...
Carbs, fat, carbs, fat, carbs....that is the story for the Holiday weekend. I think I can get back on track nutritionally next week. I hope.

Excited
I am excited. I get to start working out again tomorrow. I am planning to put myself through my own shugyo boot camp workout for the next couple of weeks. The official start date for our dojo's boot camp is January 4th. I need to be in good enough shape by then to at least be able to do what I am expecting out of my students.
The only problem I foresee for myself is that my right shoulder has really been hurting lately. Repeated damage over the years is finally taking its toll. Anyway, I will tough my way through it...again.

motivation...
Wow! I haven't been to the gym in a week. I can't stand it. It used to be so easy for me to just go to the gym, get in a great workout, and then get on with my day. Now there always seems to be something...didn't get enough sleep, wife needs the car, appointments, visitors, etc.
Really it is just my own lack of motivation that gets in the way. I am certain that if I were truly motivated, I would be able to work around the obstacles...
I would like to be in better shape for the photo shoot for my book. I would also like to compete in a few Judo/Jiu-jitsu tournaments next year. Most importantly, I need to stay fit in order to keep up with my son...

rested...
I may actually make it to the gym this morning. I feel a little more rested today than I have any other day this week. I don't feel nearly as sore as I expected to after randori and kickboxing yesterday.
stats...
Didn't get to the stats today...too busy with wierd news and things. I will try again tomorrow.

missed it...
I got to the gym and realized that I forgot my mp3 player at home. I lost all motivation to lift or run. Instead I headed into the dojo early. I got in some really good Judo practice. It almost makes up for missing my workout at the gym.
I feel a little more rested than I did yesterday. I am heading to the gym to do legs and cardio. Then from there, I will go teach Judo and MMA. Maybe I'll get in a few throws today...
I have decided to make Wednesdays my measurement day. I will document my weight and other stats on my bodybuilding.com blog once a week.

back to it...
Well, I hope to get to bed soon and get a good night's sleep. I then plan to get up and get in a good workout before heading to the dojo in the morning. My abs are pretty sore from Saturday's workout, so tomorrow I will probably just do legs and run on the elliptical.
I wasn't very happy with my performance Saturday night in randori. I felt slow and sluggish, and although it was me playing the pressure game, I felt short winded. I think my mind wasn't in the right place...it was a good test run. I need to do more drills.
